This Privacy Policy explains how MyExpenseHub (“the App”) handles information when you use our iOS application.

Summary

Your expense data stays on your device. We do not operate a user account system or cloud backend for your claims and receipts.
We do not sell your personal data.
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect data under its own policies.
Pro purchases are processed entirely by Apple via the App Store.

Information stored on your device

When you use MyExpenseHub, the following data is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad:

Claim group names, dates, optional notes, and spending limits you enter
Receipt images you capture or import
Amounts, currencies, dates, and notes associated with receipts
OCR text extracted from receipts (used to suggest amounts, dates, and currencies)
App preferences (for example export style and Quick Scan settings)

This data remains on your device unless you delete it in the App or remove the App from your device.

On-device processing

The App uses on-device processing for:

OCR (text recognition) via Apple Vision to read receipt totals and dates
Currency detection from receipt text and, when OCR is inconclusive, approximate location inferred from GPS metadata embedded in a photo (reverse geocoding via Apple’s location services to suggest a country/currency)

We do not receive copies of this processing on our servers.

Device permissions

Camera — photograph receipts
Photo Library — import existing receipt images
App Tracking Transparency (optional) — allow the ad network to use your device identifier for personalised ads in the free version

You can decline tracking; the App remains usable with non-personalised or limited ads.

Third-party services

Apple — Pro purchases, restore purchases, and payment processing are handled by Apple. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Google AdMob (free version only) — If you have not purchased MyExpenseHub Pro, the App may display banner advertisements. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in the Google Privacy Policy. Pro users do not see in-app banner ads.

What we do not collect

We do not operate a login service and do not collect on our own servers your name, receipt images, claim totals, contacts, health data, or precise real-time GPS location from the device GPS chip.

Data retention and deletion

Delete individual receipts or entire claims inside the App. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data from your device (subject to iOS backup behaviour if you use iCloud Backup). Because we do not hold your expense data on our servers, we cannot delete it remotely — deletion is under your control on your device.

Children’s privacy

MyExpenseHub is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International users

The App is developed in the United Kingdom. If you use the App from other countries, your information is still processed primarily on your device and by the third parties described above under their own policies.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
